Ecler XLA 500

The revolutionary XLA series allows DJs, small clubs and professional installers on a budget to benefit from the expansive premium features common throughout Ecler’s revered range of installation amplifiers.

The XLA 500, 1000 and 1600 are a low weight range of power amplifiers, specially designed to technologically compete and beat retail market leaders. The low weight to high power ratio works in favour of mobile and bedroom DJs, who frequently need to move their kit from venue to venue.

The integrated crossover function, when activated, sends the low frequency band to channel 1 and the high frequency band to channel 2 (cross point at 150 Hz), making it easy and quick to set up a two-way channel configuration without the need of external processing.

The aesthetically pleasing design is also functional, and a critical part of the superlative performance. In the traditional 19” rack format (two units high), the grated façade not only keeps the unit light, but also offers an efficient system of progressive ventilation where air is taken in at the rear and thrown out the front, keeping the amp at optimum operating temperature.

Safety features include the easily accessible input attenuation controls, which are clearly adjustable on the front panel. There are also indicators for ‘Power On’, ‘Signal Presence’, ‘Clipping’, ‘Operating Mode’ (i.e. bridge), and ‘Crossover Activation’. Moreover, keeping the signal clean is the permanently enabled ‘anticlip circuit’.
