Expertly sequed by Grant Nelson, it's a trip through Lee's superb house catalogue and is rammed with instantly recognisable classics from the seminal disco-funk of 'Can't Get High Without You', Nelson's remix of 'Forever Together' through to the collaborative remix of Masters At Work and India's 'Backfired' and the acid-soul of Akabu's 'I'm Not Afraid Of The Future'. Despite each track and alias used having distinct identities of their own there's the trademark distillation of funk, disco, soul, house and garage throughout which screams 'Joey Negro' and it's this spirit which has undoubtedly created the amount of true hits on offer here.

The indominatable DJ Spinna serves up CD2, 'The Sunburst Band', which is a journey through some of the finest output of Lee's much lauded live-band project, The Sunburst Band. A return to the purity of Dave's influences, The Sunburst Band has been a huge critical success and is a veritable goldmine of unadulterated, sundrenched soul, disco and funk. With a steady trajectory from the live and lazy vibes of 'We Can Live Forever' to the swinging Idjut Boys Remix of 'Twinkle' and on to the NY-house of Dennis Ferrer's interpretation of 'Journey To The Sun', the mix is a smooth yet varied affair which makes joyful sense of what is wildly eclectic source material.
